Vintage Snippet: A 1948 Beach House Stay

Other bloggers have noted the scarcity of photos of women of color in vintage fashions. The Pinup Girl Angelique Noire posted this photo of a young black woman (presumably) on a beach vacay in 1948.



It was such a treat to see the photo this young lady! I could totally imagine the dress being sassy and covered with the cape. Maybe it was made from a 1948 pattern like Marian Martin 9094.
